What happens to our hearts at the missing person(s) at our table during these holidays because of the wicked deeds of the unjust? We feel fear and dread at the disappointments that follow a series of horrendous blunders, accusations and foul play by the political powers of those wrongly aligned in the criminal justice system. People who should never be placed in a position of power abusing their placements in the system. A trail of wounded lie in their wake. This we can rest in confidence: Jesus Christ came to earth to redeem and save the lost and those dead in their sin will have a chance to find forgiveness and new life. But each and everyone refusing to turn to the light will give an account for their evil deeds done in secret. We all will be judged by our deeds and our "motives" as well. All hidden things will be brought to the light for all to see if we don't make things right on our own. Evil doers will not get away with it forever. The payment for wickedness can be too costly to imagine for bearing false witness against thy neighbor and causing division and strife amongst families and causing the just to suffer wrongly. Stealing anothers life and freedom is murder even if it's being responsible for placing the wrongfully accused in prison.
As we celebrate Jesus birth it was He who said in the scriptures , " it is better for a man to have a millstone tied around his neck and to be dropped into the deepest sea than for what God has for those who would cause harm to just one of His children who believes and trusts in HIM." The wrongfully accused can find comfort in these words knowing it is NOT over until justice is served.... Justice by our HIGHER POWER the Almighty that is!
